Questions

How Are Donations Used?

Donations received by TigerImpact Partners are used to provide funding to student-athletes who, under working agreements, use their name, image and likeness to gain support for approved charities. Student-athletes do this through personal appearances, social media engagements, and serving and engaging with beneficiaries of the charities. Student-athletes are signed to service agreements with terms that require them to complete a specific amount of marketing work. No direct donations are made to the charities. The goal is for student-athletes to provide a marketing boost for charities that they may not otherwise be able afford. Given nonprofit organizations typically raise $1 per 24¢ spent on fundraising, TigerImpact Partners believes a student athlete's name, image, and likeness can benefit charities beyond a direct donation.

How Are Sponsorships Awarded?

TigerImpact Partners has a formula to determine the marketing value of a student-athlete's name, image, and likeness. This formula considers an athlete's sport, position, social media following, and talent level. The formula serves as a guide, and ultimately, TigerImpact Partners has some leverage in determining the final amount to be earned by the student-athlete for their services. Additionally, TigerImpact Partners considers the interests of the sponsor (charitable and athletic). If explicitly specified, TigerImpact Partners will restrict sponsorship money to the sponsor's interests. Typically, this will be from a pool of athletes that have expressed interest in working with TigerImpact Partners (online or otherwise). If that pool is exhausted, TigerImpact Partners will reach out to athletes. When narrowing down a list of potential athletes, TigerImpact Partners considers when interest was first expressed, the impact on the community, and passion for charitable work, among other factors.
